Pre-shipment Inspections (Detailed Overview)

Chrevo’s Pre-shipment Inspection Services ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of polymer shipments before they leave the warehouse or holding facility. This critical step helps prevent costly errors and enhances trust between buyers and sellers. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what this service includes:

 1. On-site Inspection by Trained Chrevo Inspectors

  • Arrival on Schedule: Chrevo's inspectors will arrive at the designated shipping or holding facility at the scheduled time, equipped with the appropriate attire and necessary inspection tools. Punctuality ensures that the inspection fits seamlessly within the client's logistics plan.
  • Professional Conduct: Inspectors will maintain professionalism throughout the inspection process, coordinating with facility staff and following any safety protocols specific to the site.

 2. Inventory and Pallet Count

  • Pallet Counting: Inspectors will count the pallets and ensure that the number of pallets corresponds to the client's purchase order or shipment documentation.
  • Item Inventory: A detailed inventory of items within the shipment will be compiled, verifying quantities, part numbers, and product descriptions for each item. This step ensures that no items are missing or misplaced and that everything aligns with the purchase order.

 3. Comprehensive Documentation

  • Image/Video Capture:
    • Inspectors will take up to 10 images and 3 videos per material type being shipped. This documentation will capture key visual evidence of the materials being staged for shipment.
    • Outer Packing: Clear images of packaging containers will be provided to ensure that the materials are being handled and protected properly during shipment. This documentation is particularly important for fragile or sensitive materials.
    • Inner Packing (if applicable): For materials that include secondary or inner packing, detailed images will be taken to confirm compliance with packaging guidelines. This ensures that sensitive materials are securely packed and won’t shift or suffer contamination during transit.
    • Identification Labels: Images of all identification labels on the pallets or individual items will be taken to ensure clear and correct labeling. Inspectors will confirm that all relevant details, including material type, quantity, and any regulatory labels, are present and legible.

4. Reporting & Verification

  • Detailed Report: Following the inspection, a detailed report will be generated and provided to the client. This report will include:
    • A full list of the items inspected, including quantities and part numbers.
    • Photographic and/or video evidence of the materials, packaging, and labels.
    • Notes on any issues, inconsistencies, or areas requiring further attention.
  • Client Approval: Once the report is complete, the client will be able to review the findings and confirm whether the shipment can proceed or if any adjustments need to be made before it is released for transport.

 5. Benefits

  • Transparency: The detailed inspection process offers transparency to both buyers and sellers, providing peace of mind that shipments are accurate and comply with all specifications.
  • Minimized Disputes: By verifying the materials before they leave the facility, disputes over quantity, quality, or labeling errors can be significantly reduced, saving time and resources for both parties.
  • Compliance & Safety: Chrevo ensures that all materials meet the required packaging, labeling, and shipping standards to avoid complications or damages during transport.

 Additional Optional Services

  • Customized Inspection Plans: Clients can request additional services, such as testing or verification for specific standards, regulatory compliance, or specialized handling instructions.
  • Real-Time Updates: If needed, Chrevo can offer live updates during the inspection process via video conferencing or real-time reports, allowing clients to have a virtual presence during the inspection.
